July already?

It's been a while, but not much has happened recently. Ty just came down with a little cold (the first time he's really been sick) yesterday and it's been rough. He hates getting his nose wiped or suctioned but we can't blame him. Poor guy.

We're planning a vacation for early August. All law students have recommended to Layn that he should take a vacation to prepare for law school rather than study or read ahead. They said he'll be getting more reading and studying than he can handle in the next 3 years and no real time for vacation, so take one while we can. We'll be going on a western Caribbean cruise.

We're now in full swing with the ward. We both gave talks on Father's Day and team-teach the Valiant 11's in the ward. We both just recently got our home/visit teaching assignments too.

Layn is definitely looking forward to camp being over in 3 weeks. His 1-on-1 girl punched him in the face twice last week. It was coupled with slaps, pushes, and kicks too. She's been given 1 more chance because of her challenges, but Layn's already worn out. Because of the 2 hours each day spent at the pool, Layn's developed quite the tan. I've never seen him so tan, but it'll look good for our upcoming vacation. We're looking forward to getting away next week too for Roger Jr.'s wedding. Layn will only get a day off while Ty and I road trip it with my parents.

Layn will likely be getting his first semester schedule in the next week or two. I'm still studying away in my last few classes.
